Wybourn 2009

Year | 2009
Location | Paris, France
Client | Great Places with Encounters Sharrow

The Wybourn Estate in North Sheffield is a 1930’s estate with the usual formula of 2 bedroon semi-detatched housing built for steel workers. It is now trying to re-define itself.

Last year a live project here developed a vision for a new future and carried out preliminary consultation work with their engaging “open house”. Parkway Housing Association has continued with this work and now feel ready to do more detailed work on specific uses for some open spaces and “gateways” into the estate.  This year the project hopes to build on the work from last year and take it to the next stage, with physical ideas designed and some prototypes/and or demonstration projects built.
