Graves Gallery

Year | 2003
Location | Sheffield, UK
Client | Sheffield Galleries and Museums Trust

Sheffield Galleries and Museums Trust asked us to look at long-term visions. The live project was thus an intense research and visioning exercise – researching what a library may mean in twenty years, questioning as to what galleries may look like, asking how information may best be shared with the community – and then all that virtual/physical stuff that architecture schools so love debating. The work was intended to from a report for the client and a public exhibition in which the ideas for the future of the Graves were presented to the people of Sheffield.

It is hoped that the resulting work will contribute to the current debate on the future of libraries and galleries that has been instigated by CABE
